Danielle Valner Abramson, BCET, M.Ed., A/OGA
Founder and Owner
A Los Angeles native, Danielle attended Harvard-Westlake School and then ventured east to get her Bachelor of Arts in History and minor in Spanish at the University of Pennsylvania. Danielle couldn’t stay away from sunny LA (or her family!) for too long. After her return, she decided to pursue a career in education and was accepted to the UCLA Graduate School of Education.
After receiving her Master of Education, Danielle spent nearly a decade as a classroom teacher, first at Palmati Charter School, and most recently at her elementary school alma mater, The Center for Early Education (CEE) in West Hollywood. While teaching at CEE, she realized her true passion of working with students of different learning profiles and pursued her Post Masters Certificate in Educational Therapy at CSUN.
Danielle has been tutoring students K-12 since 2009 and is trained in Singapore Math and Multisensory Math. She is a certified structured literacy dyslexia interventionist (C-SLDI) and trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and Wilson’s Just Words® program. She is an active member of the national Association of Educational Therapists as a Board Certified educational therapist and is the Past President of the board of the Los Angeles branch of the International Dyslexia Association. She was recently a panelist at Harvard’s Intercollegiate Business Convention for her expertise in educational therapy and her work in social impact.
Danielle serves as co-chair for the Rett Syndrome Research Trust’s Junior Committee. She is fluent in Spanish and considers herself to be an enchilada connoisseur. During her free time, Danielle is an avid reader, with her favorite genres being historical fiction and mystery, and she indulges in the occasional reality TV show.
